In The Community
Historic Preservation
Tara Ulmaniec and her husband strongly believe that individuals mark their life not only by what they do in business, but also by what they give back to their community.

Since 2001, Tara has been a business member of the Swift County Historical Society.  Ulmaniec Law Office is proudly located in historic downtown Benson, Minnesota – the heart of the community anchored by a host of diverse, local retailers such as drug stores, restaurants, and gift shops, and much more.

Tara and her husband, Ed, have been restoring their 1896 Victorian home in Benson Minnesota for the past seven years.  The Ulmaniecs believe that preserving historic buildings and homes is critical to maintaining a valuable element of culture for present and future generations to study, appreciate and enjoy.

Homeless Pets
The Ulmaniecs support organizations that focus on ending pet neglect, abuse, and pet overpopulation.
In 2007, they adopted an adult male beagle, Murphy, from Pet Haven in Minneapolis and later adopted a young female beagle, Molly, from the Swift County Humane Society.

Other Involvement
Tara is a member and past president of the Benson Kiwanis which focuses on helping children.  She has also served as a member of the Volunteer Attorney Program since 1998, which provides no cost legal representation to low income individuals.  Tara was honored to volunteer as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Benson Ambulance from 2007-2009.  Tara also serves on the board of the Heartland Girls Ranch in Benson, Minnesota, which is a nonprofit organization for at-risk juvenile females.
